Cleco donates $1,500 to DeSoto Regional Health System Foundation for health care in rural communities
PINEVILLE, La. – April 27, 2021 – Today, Cleco made a $1,500 donation to the DeSoto Regional Health System Foundation to support the health care system’s planned expansion.
The foundation raises funds for the DeSoto Regional Health System, which is comprised of a nonprofit hospital, three rural health clinics and a wellness facility.
DeSoto Regional Health System recently announced plans to completely modernize its Mansfield Campus, enlarge its emergency department and build a new rural health clinic.
“Cleco serves many rural communities, and it’s important to support the health care facilities that provide vital services to local residents especially as we continue to fight a global pandemic,” said Shane Hilton, president of Cleco Power.
“Our expansion project will help us prepare for future pandemics and provide the communities we serve with state-of-the-art care,” said Todd Eppler, CEO of DeSoto Regional Health System. “We are very appreciative of our partnership with Cleco, and their support of this vital effort to upgrade our facilities.”
