PINEVILLE, La. - May 25, 2022 – Cleco Power donated $500,000 to the Community Foundation of Acadiana to support and fund projects across their seven-parish service region. This fund will enhance Cleco’s support of nonprofits that align with the company’s community impact areas of STEM education, youth programs, health and wellness, low-income initiatives and diversity.

“Cleco Power has a long history of charitable giving and is committed to helping Louisiana communities grow and thrive,” said Bill Fontenot, president and CEO of Cleco Corporate Holdings. “This donation is an investment in the communities where we live, work and serve.”

“Cleco is a solid Louisiana company that has a strong track record of serving and enhancing the quality of life for its customers throughout our region,” said Raymond Hebert, CEO of the Community Foundation of Acadiana. “The Community Foundation of Acadiana is honored to play a role in enhancing Cleco’s philanthropic impact.”

With 16 offices, over 180 employees and nearly 100,000 customers in Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, St. Landry, St. Mary, St. Martin and Vermilion parishes, Cleco is an integral part of the Acadiana community and has the honor of sitting on the Evangeline Foundation Advisory Board.

The board meets to determine grant recipients and allocations for Evangeline Parish. Cleco’s vice president and chief customer officer, Andre Guillory, was selected to serve in this distinguished position.

“As a life-long Evangeline Parish resident and the newest member of the Evangeline Foundation Advisory Board, I am honored to represent Cleco on the advisory board,” said Guillory. “I look forward to working with the advisory board to strengthen our community.”
