Cleco provides Slidell customers with additional power restoration details

PINEVILLE, La. – April 12, 2024 (2 p.m.) – Cleco crews continue to make progress in restoring power to Slidell customers following Wednesday’s tornado.

Earlier today, the company stated that Slidell customers on Lakeview Drive/Rats Nest Road, Carr Drive and West End Blvd. were expected to have power restored early this afternoon.

 Customers in the following areas of Slidell and Pearl River are expected to have power restored by end of day today: 

  • Villa du Lac Apartments
  • Olde Towne Slidell
  • Parts of Eagle Point subdivision (Berkely Street, Markham Drive, Olive Drive)
  • Old Spanish Trail (from Howze Beach Blvd. to City Drive and surrounding streets)
  • Parts of Rama Street, MLK Drive, Washington Avenue
  • Remainder of Lincoln Park subdivision, including St. Tammany Junior High, Orchard Street, Duncan Drive
  • Brownsvillage Road (from St. Tammany Avenue to August Avenue, and surrounding streets, Donnis Drive, Sigrid Lane, Richard Avenue, W. Hillcrest Drive, W. Pinehill Street)
  • Village Guthrie in Pearl River (streets surrounding Avenue D., Second Street through Seventh Street)
  • Northshore High School
  • Clearwood Junior High
  • Alton Elementary School
  • Cypress Cove Elementary School
  • Honey Island Elementary School
  • Riverside Elementary School
  • Whispering Forest Elementary School

 The above are estimated restoration times and unexpected damage or inclement weather could impact efforts and timelines.

In addition to Cleco personnel, the company has added 360 line mechanics and vegetation specialists to help with power restoration efforts in St. Tammany Parish.
