Sep 12, 2024

Expects power restoration to all customers in Iberia Parish tonight

Cleco has restored power to over half of its customers in Iberia, St. Mary and St. Tammany Parishes who lost power due to Hurricane Francine.

“In addition to Cleco resources, we have 1,755 contractors to help restore power across impacted areas,” said Clint Robichaux, director of distribution operations and reliability. “We expect to wrap up restoration efforts in Iberia Parish tonight and will be moving those line mechanics and tree trimmers to St. Mary and St. Tammany Parishes.”

While crews will continue to work into the night, Cleco expects that some outages could last overnight. The company asks customers with medical or other special needs to make the necessary arrangements for tonight.
