Cleco Power Winter Storm Update – 5 p.m.
PINEVILLE, La. – Although Cleco Power has restored electricity to thousands of customers since early this morning, there will be customers without power into Saturday.
“We still have contractors, tree trimmers and Cleco employees on the job,” said Anthony Bunting, vice president of customer service and energy delivery. “We are concentrating workers from restored areas to the hardest hit areas, and some crews will work through the night.”
Throughout the afternoon Cleco has experienced thousands of new outages. “This storm has been frustrating for our customers and for our workers, but we are going to beat it,” Bunting said.
As of 5 p.m. there are 17,006 Cleco Power customers without power. Customers should report sagging or downed lines to Cleco at 1-800-622-6537.
