Cleco invites you to Drop a Line
PINEVILLE, La. – In preparation for Line Mechanic Appreciation Day, celebrated on April 18, Cleco is inviting employees, customers and the general public to “Drop a Line” of thanks to its line mechanics.
“Our line mechanics work tirelessly to keep the lights on for our customers,” said James Lass, general manager of distribution operations and emergency assistance. ”Writing a thank you note might seem like a small gesture, but it means a lot to our crews.”
To thank Cleco line mechanics, send an email or mail a letter by April 11, 2018.
Emails can be sent to [email protected] and mail sent to:

Participants also are encouraged to show support on Facebook using the hashtag “#ThankaLineMechanic.”
Cleco’s 166 line mechanics are responsible for keeping the lights on for 290,000 customers and maintaining over 12,000 miles of distribution lines and 1,300 miles of transmission lines across Louisiana. However, the dedication of Cleco line mechanics stretches beyond Louisiana borders. In January 2018, Cleco line crews were awarded two Edison Electric Institute (EEI) Emergency Assistance Awards for their outstanding response in assisting other electric companies with power restoration following Hurricane Harvey in August 2017 and Hurricane Irma in September 2017.
