Power Plants
Cleco Corp. is an industry leader in the safe operation and management of its power plants. This tradition of excellence began in 1938 with Rea Station, the company's first power plant, in Bunkie, Louisiana. 
Today, we own approximately 1,360 megawatts of regulated generating capacity and manage an additional 690 megawatts for our partners through Cleco Power, our electric utility business.
And we have almost 1,355 megawatts of unregulated capacity in operation through Cleco Midstream Resources, our wholesale energy business.
We use a mixture of western coal and lignite, oil, natural gas, and purchased power to serve our customers. This diverse fuel mix helps Cleco deliver reliable, low-cost power to its customers.
