Cleco no longer accepts resumes that are not attached to a job application. Resumes will be accepted only if they are accompanied by a Cleco application that references a specific job opening.
You must complete a Cleco application to be considered for employment. You can complete our online application or fill out a paper copy and mail it to us (attaching a resume is recommended, but not required).
In most cases, our employment process is as follows:
1. Job seekers express an interest in an open position by completing a company application (online or paper). All employment applications (online or paper) must reference a specific job opening.
2. Job seekers return their application (online or paper) to the Human Resources Department. All employment applications (online or paper) must be returned to Human Resources before the applicant is considered for any open position.
3. The best qualified applicants are interviewed and/or tested. A back ground check, pre-employment drug screen and physical (if appropriate) are performed on the selected applicant.
4. Upon successful completion of the back ground check, pre-employment drug screen and physical, the applicant is offered the position.
5. Regret letters are mailed to all applicants who received an interview and to those who applied for the position, but were not interviewed.
Please Read: An employment application is good only for the position(s) that are open at that time. Job seekers may apply for up to two positions per application. If you wish to respond to other future open positions, you must reapply due to applications no longer being kept on file.
