Experts have refined forecasting methods and predict a busy hurricane season. After two years of overstated hurricane activity, experts have refined their models and are predicting another dangerous hurricane season. Colorado State University is predicting 15 named storms, with eight of those storms expected to be hurricanes, and four of the storms predicted to be major storms with winds at least 111 miles per hour. The Colorado State Researchers say that unexpected weather patterns resulted in overestimates of hurricane activity in 2006 and 2007.
