Cleco awards Northwest Louisiana Technical College $10,000

PINEVILLE, La., Jan. 31, 2018 – Today, Cleco awarded Northwest Louisiana Technical College – Mansfield Campus a $10,000 educational grant for its Electrical and Industrial Instrumentation Technology program. 

“Cleco understands the importance of education, and we recognize that a commitment to our students and our classrooms is an investment in our future workforce,” said Bill Fontenot, Cleco CEO. “This support is another opportunity to highlight our commitment to our local customers by helping prepare them for future employment.”

"Northwest Louisiana Technical College is honored to receive this generous donation and views it as a vote of confidence in the ability of our college to meet the rigorous training demands of the electrical industry sector," said Northwest Louisiana Technical College director, Earl Meador.  "Our college continues to work with our partners to ensure delivery of a highly skilled workforce.  Funding from Cleco will be directed to the enhancement of our existing electrical training program and will provide expansion to include course offerings and equipment specific to industrial instrumentation training requirements."
