Cleco awards Project Celebration $26,000

PINEVILLE, La., Jan. 31, 2018 – Today, Cleco awarded Project Celebration Inc. $26,000 to provide services for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors in Bossier, Caddo, DeSoto, Natchitoches, Red River, Sabine and Webster Parishes.

“We are honored to support the life changing work Project Celebration is doing to benefit our communities,” said Bill Fontenot, Cleco CEO.

“Project Celebration is pleased to receive this award from Cleco,” said Mitzi Harris, executive director of Project Celebration Inc. “Cleco funding will help us provide proper housing, meals and transportation to the 20 residents who stay with us at any given time, as well as offer training and equipment to help minimize the trauma on children who are called to testify.”

Cleco has a long history of philanthropic involvement across its 24-parish service territory.  In 2017, Cleco contributed nearly $1 million to non-profit organizations across the state.
