Cleco celebrates National “Chill Out” Day with Kona Ice

PINEVILLE, La. – Apr. 17, 2018 – Today, Cleco, in partnership with Kona Ice of Cenla, will serve-up free snow cones to its employees in celebration of National “Chill Out” Day.

“Cleco is excited to partner with Kona Ice to bring this fun employee appreciation event to our employees in the Alexandria-Pineville area,” said Caitlyn Martel, Cleco communication representative.  “Work, and especially tax season, can be a stressful time.  We hope that free snow cones during the workday will help our employees unwind and give them a good reason to take a break.”

“For the fifth year in a row, Kona Ice is serving up its National ‘Chill Out’ Day, inviting the workforce to relax after paying their dues to Uncle Sam,” said Ed Easter, owner and operator of Kona Ice of Cenla and former Cleco employee.  “It’s just one small way we hope to put a smile on people’s faces.”

In addition to the mobile unit stationed at the Cleco headquarters in Pineville, Kona Ice of Cenla will visit Red River Bank in Ball from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. where they will give away free snow cones to the public in limited edition color-changing Cleco cups.

“Our motto is, ‘No taxation without relaxation!” said Easter.
