Think Energy
Power Wise®, Cleco’s energy efficiency program, offers a school education program called “Think Energy” in sixth-grade science classrooms across Cleco’s service area. Through the Power Wise education program, teachers receive curriculum on energy and water efficiency, and students take home their very own Energy Efficiency Home Kit containing energy-saving devices.
Teachers can register online by completing an online form at www.thinkenergy.org/cleco and will receive posters, teacher’s guide and activity worksheets in addition to the kits, one per student. Teachers can also earn a $50 gift card if 80 percent or more of the home energy worksheets are submitted by the program deadline. Registration is held year-round but participation is limited.
Cleco Power Wise’s education program, in partnership with the National Energy
Foundation (NEF), has been implemented in over 60 Cleco-powered schools since it launched in 2019, and there are also interactive games available to any family on the website.
