Interns have the opportunity to showcase their strengths and apply their knowledge to contribute to our business strategy. Who is eligible to apply?
Full-time students entering junior year at an accredited college or university
Minimum GPA of 2.75
Majors in Engineering, Business/Finance, Computer Science/MIS, or related

What type of internships are offered?
Regular Internship: full-time (40 hours/week) from end of spring semester to beginning of fall semester. Housing available if student lives >50 miles from office.
Extended Internship: Part-time (~20 hours/week) post-summer, based on performance reviews. Remote work may be allowed based on departmental needs.

Can interns be hired full-time after graduation?
Yes. Internships are often extended to assess potential for full-time employment. This is assessed based on performance and department need. -
Are relatives of Cleco employees eligible?
No. Close relatives of current Cleco employees are not eligible for the internship program.

What support is available for interns?
Interns receive mentorship, participate in site tours, and networking events. Cleco promotes learning and growth opportunities. Interns will submit a final project at the end of each summer cohort to showcase experience.
