Alexandria also is home to two colleges – Louisiana State University of Alexandria (LSUA) and Central Louisiana Technical Community College (CLTCC). LSUA is a four-year public institution under the LSU System with a broad spectrum of affordable undergraduate degrees. CLTCC has been training the workforce of Cenla since the 1930s, as a vo-tech, trade school, technical college, and now a technical and community college. It is headquartered in downtown Alexandria in a new state-of-the-art facility.
Pineville, the home of Cleco's headquarters, is recognized as a safe, family-friendly city where southern hospitality abounds and family values are honored. It’s also the home of Louisiana College, a private, Baptist college of liberal arts and sciences with 25 academic and residential buildings.
