Cleco Community Fund Accepting Grant Applications

Lafayette, LA - The Cleco Community Fund, a fund of Community Foundation of Acadiana (CFA), is accepting grant applications from nonprofit organizations whose focus areas are education, health and wellness, low income and youth programming.

“Cleco has a long history of philanthropic involvement in the communities it serves,” said Peggy Scott, board chair and interim CEO of Cleco Corporate Holdings. “The Cleco Community Fund will award $100,000 through multiple grants to Acadiana nonprofits doing critical work in the region.”

The grant cycle is open to organizations who are established as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization. Funding is available to support programs and projects serving Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary and/or Vermilion Parishes.

The Cleco Community Fund does not make grants to individuals, private business ventures or partisan political organizations. Funding will not be awarded for ongoing, recurring budgetary items.
