Normanique Preston named chief human resources & diversity officer

PINEVILLE, La. – Today, the board of managers of Cleco Corporate Holdings LLC (“Cleco”) announced Normanique Preston as the chief human resources and diversity officer.

“For the past year, Preston has served as Cleco’s vice president of human resources.  During this time, she has been a critical advisor to the executive management team and strengthened the company’s recruitment and retention efforts, along with employee training and development,” said Bill Fontenot, president and CEO of Cleco.  “In her expanded role, Normanique will work to advance diversity and inclusion at Cleco.”

“As a company and as employees, we must embrace the concept of diversity and inclusion,” said Preston.  “Through our efforts, we will work to help employees understand the benefits of building a diverse, highly skilled and qualified workforce, as well as advance our diversity and inclusion culture. 

Originally from Port Allen, La., Preston spent the first 26 years of her human resources career working in Houston before returning to Louisiana to work at Cleco.  She holds a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, La.
