Cleco celebrates Line Mechanic Appreciation Day
This week, Cleco celebrates Line Mechanic Appreciation Day to recognize the men and women who energize and connect communities across Louisiana.
Cleco line mechanics maintain over 12,000 miles of distribution lines and 1,300 miles of transmissions lines. Their efforts provide power to nearly 300,000 Louisiana homes and businesses.
“Reliable and resilient are two words that we often use to describe Cleco’s service. No one exemplifies those traits better than our linemen,” said Andre Guillory, chief customer officer at Cleco. “Whether it’s 100 degrees or below freezing, our crews work around the clock to provide safe, reliable power to our customers.”
In 2025, Cleco delivered reliable power over 99.9% of the time and met the Louisiana Public Service Commission’s reliability standards for the 27th consecutive year.
“Maintaining a standard of excellence for 27 years is no easy task,” said Clint Robichaux, director of distribution operations and reliability at Cleco. “Cleco’s linemen work hard every single day to make sure the lights stay on in Louisiana.”
