Cleco employees help make day extra special at Rugg Elementary in support of ‘Together Tuesdays’

Dec 3, 2019

PINEVILLE, La. –Today, Cleco employees and mascot, Hot Spot, opened car doors, greeted students, and gave high fives and hugs at Rugg Elementary in Alexandria, La. in support of “Together Tuesdays.”

The Rapides Parish School Board implemented “Together Tuesdays” to offer innovative and creative ways for employers and the community to become more involved with their local schools.  The parish-wide program takes place the first Tuesday of every month.

“This is a great way to support the students, faculty and staff in our schools,” said Marty Smith, vice president of marketing.  “The smiles and positive expressions on the students faces are rewarding and emphasize the importance of staying connected to the communities we serve.”

“We are thankful for Cleco’s support of our school,” said Tracy Siebeneicher, principal of Rugg Elementary.  “Community support is essential to our students’ success.  It’s important for our future leaders to learn about the successes and opportunities we have in central Louisiana.”

Cleco employees are scheduled to visit Brame Middle School on Jan. 7, 2020.
