Cleco celebrates Line Mechanic Appreciation Day

Cleco is celebrating Line Mechanic Appreciation Day to recognize the men and women who energize and connect communities across Louisiana.
Cleco line mechanics work around-the-clock to maintain the company’s 12,000 miles of distribution lines and 1,300 miles of transmissions lines and ensure that power is available to 300,000 homes and businesses across Louisiana.
“Rain or shine, day or night, our linemen make sure that our customers have the most reliable power in the state.” said Andre Guillory, chief customer officer at Cleco. “Thanks, in part to our linemen, Cleco is the only Louisiana utility to meet or exceed Louisiana Public Service Commission reliability standards for each of the last 26 years and kept customer lights on over 99% of the time in 2024.”
In 2024, Cleco received two national awards for quick power restoration and assisting neighboring utilities during hurricane season.
“Wherever Cleco linemen go, safety and service are their top priorities.” said Clint Robichaux, director of distribution operations and reliability at Cleco. “We see this in our own communities and especially as linemen travel hours away to help others in need.”
