Cleco employees volunteer at St. Mary’s Residential Community & Services
Cleco employees volunteered at St. Mary’s Residential Community & Services as part of the company’s Done in a Day program.
Cleco’s Done in a Day program furthers the company’s partnerships with charitable organizations across its service territory, as well as provides an opportunity for its employees to get involved in the community. Through the program, Cleco works with charitable organizations who request assistance with a project that can be completed within one day or a few hours.
Volunteers worked alongside St. Mary’s Residential Community & Services staff to set up holiday lights around St. Mary’s 55-acre campus.
St. Mary’s Residential Community & Services serves individuals with intellectual disabilities by providing personalized care and a community living environment.
“Having volunteers helps us to get things done and shows our residents that the community cares about them,” said Tamara McNulty, director of development at St. Mary’s Residential Community & Services. “Holidays are a big thing here. We do everything we can to make it fun and festive for our residents.”
“There is no better way to begin the holiday season than to spend time serving others,” said Colie Plaster, communications representative at Cleco and Done in a Day program coordinator. “Cleco volunteers are proud to be able to bring joy through service.”
To date, Cleco employees have volunteered nearly 4,000 hours in 2025.
