Cleco employees volunteer at Northshore Food Bank
Cleco employees volunteered at Northshore Food Bank as part of the company’s Done in a Day program.
Cleco’s Done in a Day program furthers the company’s partnerships with charitable organizations across its service territory, as well as provides an opportunity for its employees to get involved in the community. Through the program, Cleco works with charitable organizations who request assistance with a project that can be completed within one day or a few hours.
Volunteers worked to sort and package donations gathered in recent food drives.
In addition to volunteering, Cleco has pledged monetary support to Northshore Food Bank to assist in their mission of service during the holiday season, nearly doubling the company’s support from 2024.
“As we celebrate the things we are thankful for this season, it is humbling to be able to serve with and support the local organizations that address food insecurity in our community,” said Colie Plaster, communications representative at Cleco and Done in a Day program coordinator.
Northshore Food Bank serves the needs of the most vulnerable in the community by providing food assistance to hundreds of individuals and families each week.
“With the recent increase in food donations from the community, we are grateful to have groups such as Cleco help us sort the items and restock our shelves so that we can further our mission of feeding food insecure families in St. Tammany Parish,” said Sarah Herndon, volunteer and food drive coordinator at Northshore Food Bank.
To date, Cleco employees have volunteered more than 4,400 hours in 2025.
