Cleco restores power to 60 percent of customers impacted by Winter Storm Fern
Company suspends service disconnects through January
Cleco and contractor crews have restored power to 60 percent of the nearly 17,000 customers who lost power following Winter Storm Fern.
“All of our Cleco crews and an additional 600 contractors will continue working today to clear debris, assess damage and restore power,” said Clint Robichaux, director of distribution operations and reliability. “In some cases, before we can restore power, we have to remove trees from power lines and clear limbs from the road.”

Cleco is suspending service disconnects through January 31, 2026.
“With temperatures continuing to linger at or below freezing through most of this week, we are pausing service disconnects through January,” said Tracy Daigrepont, director of customer experience.
