Cleco Power Wise® offers practical solutions to help farmers improve efficiency, lower operating expenses, and maintain a safe, productive facility. By working with the Power Wise team, you can take advantage of financial incentives and energy-saving upgrades tailored to your farm's needs.
Incentives & Eligibility
Eligible upgrades for Cleco customers may include:
- Lighting and lighting controls
- Ventilation systems
- Irrigation systems
- Refrigeration systems
- HVAC equipment and controls
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
Funding is limited and available on a first‑come, first‑served basis.
About one third of the nation's water is used for irrigation. With droughts increasing and water resources strained, improving irrigation efficiency is essential.
How it Works
1. Initiate
Identify a project. If you're not sure where to start, request assistance from the Power Wise team at www.cleco.com/EEupgrades
2. Apply
Sign a Letter of Intent to participate and email all required documents to [email protected]
3. Get Pre-Approved
Pre-approval review takes place. A site visit may be required. Participants choose/pay their own contractors or they may select a Cleco-approved contractor.
4. Install and Get Paid
Complete energy efficiency upgrades within 60 days of approval. Submit all post-project documents and receive available incentives. Funding is limited and incentives are capped at $35,000 per project on a first-come, first-served basis.
