Receives $25,000 in incentives from Cleco’s Commercial & Industrial Solutions Program

PINEVILLE, La. – Today, Cleco awarded Hayes Manufacturing a $25,000 cash incentive for the company’s commitment to energy efficiency.

Hayes Manufacturing, a Cleco customer and participant in Cleco’s Commercial & Industrial Solutions Program, completed lighting upgrades that help the company improve energy usage and reduce energy costs.

“Cleco’s energy efficiency programs provide assistance and financial incentives to customers for installing energy efficiency measures that reduce energy consumption,” said Richard Sharp, manager of resource planning. “The programs are available not only to commercial and industrial customers, but to residential customers, small businesses, schools and municipalities.”

Launched in 2015, Cleco’s energy efficiency programs have awarded its customers $2,319,744 in incentives for completed energy efficiency projects which also can lead to lower bills for customers. Incentives include rebates for energy efficient improvements, such as insulation, air conditioning tune-ups and mail-in rebates for energy efficient appliances.

In addition to the monetary benefits of the programs, Cleco’s programs have reduced energy consumption by over 21,000,000 kilowatt-hours. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, this is the equivalent of

• Carbon dioxide emissions from 1,655,164 consumed gallons of gasoline

• Greenhouse gas emissions from 3,907 cars driven for one year, or

• The electricity use of 2,023 homes for one year
