Cleco partners with the Arc of Acadiana for ‘Done in a Day’

Apr 23, 2025

Today, Cleco employees volunteered at the Arc of Acadiana in New Iberia as part of the company’s Done in a Day program.

Cleco’s Done in a Day program furthers the company’s partnerships with charitable organizations across its service territory, as well as provides an opportunity for its employees to get involved in the community. Through the program, Cleco works with charitable organizations who request assistance with a project that can be completed within one day or a few hours.

Arc of Acadiana supports people with developmental disabilities by providing in-home care, employment services and operating community group homes. Volunteers landscaped flowerbeds and pressure washed at the organization’s resale clothing store.

“April is National Volunteer Month, and we asked Cleco employees to consider where they can make a difference by volunteering,” said Colie Plaster, communications representative at Cleco and Done in a Day program coordinator. “The Done in a Day program is a great way for employees to give back to the places that better their community.”

"We are truly inspired by the dedication and compassion of Cleco volunteers,” said Arc of Acadiana CEO, Cindy Leleux. “Their support creates meaningful opportunities for individuals and older adults with disabilities to thrive. We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the team of volunteers at Cleco for believing in our mission and helping us empower people to live fulfilling and productive lives. Partnerships like these fuel the impact we make and keep the heart of our work beating strong.”
